Signing of a new cooperation agreement between the MoHERI and Sfere

A New Cooperation Agreement Strengthens Franco-Omani Academic Ties

The Omani Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has signed a new cooperation agreement with Sfere at the Ministry’s headquarters in Muscat.
Effective until 2030, this agreement strengthens collaboration between the Sultanate of Oman and France in the field of higher education.

Main objectives

This partnership aims to create new academic opportunities for young Omanis through several key objectives:

  • Offering students the opportunity to pursue their studies in France in Bachelor’s-level programs (Licence or BUT).

  • Preparing them for university admission through a dedicated foundation program designed to strengthen their academic and language skills.

  • Guiding students toward science and engineering fields of study, which are strategic for Oman’s economic diversification and innovation.

An enriching academic and cultural experience

Each year, 24 new students will join the program and benefit from an enriching academic and cultural experience in France, a country renowned for the excellence of its higher education system, its spirit of innovation, and the diversity of its campuses welcoming students from around the world.

Initiated in 2017, the partnership between Sfere and the MoHERI marks a key step in promoting academic mobility and international openness for young Omani talents. It also illustrates the strength of the Franco-Omani educational partnership in service of future generations.
