40 years’ experience

In 40 years, Sfere has conducted 260 international scholarship programs, involving more than 9,500 scholars from 31 countries on all continents, including:

5000 at Master’s and PhD levels, mainly for university lecturers and scientific
1,500 engineers, in all specializations, for companies in the energy, telecoms, food industry, transport and other sectors, as well as for technical ministries (industry, agriculture, forestry, transport, public works, tourism, health, etc.).
3000 at Bachelor or Upper Level Technicians / Assistant Engineers

Funding bodies

Sfere is a service provider for foreign funders wishing to benefit from the potential of French higher education, to carry out their international scholarship programs.

Our international scholarships programs are mostly funded by governments, and run by ministries, universities, networks of research and technology development centers, government agencies dedicated to human resource development…

They are also sometimes financed by large companies as part of their HR or CSR strategies (oil and gas sector, telecommunications, etc…).

They can also be funded by foundations or international organizations.

Fields and levels of study

Sfere was born of an idea by the French Ministry of Education and Higher Education, to serve the entire public higher education network and to contribute proactively to its international promotion in non-French-speaking countries.

We are able to place our scholarship holders in all universities, University Institutes of Technology (IUT), Engineer Schools, Doctoral schools and research labs hosting PhD students… We thus offer our foreign partners access to all fields and levels of study and academic or professional qualifications, with rare exceptions.
