Up until 1993, SFERE was chaired by a benevolent President coming from the industrial world (as in the IUT governance model) and a Managing Director, coming from the academic world, and salaried by SFERE.

 

SFERE'S first President was Jean Leduc, then CEO of Elis Ltd. and Chairman of the Board of the IUT of Saint-Denis. He is replaced by Jean Dupuis in 1984, and then by Henri Pujol (CEO of Christofle Ltd) in 1988. The later will be replaced in 1993 by Jacques Bodin, until then Managing Director of SFERE and a former IUT director and General Inspector of Education, who will cumulate the 2 functions of President and Managing Director of SFERE until his retirement in 2011. Since 1st January 2012, SFERE has been chaired by Patrice Laurens, who was until then SFERE director for International Development.

 

SFERE is run by a Executive Committee composed of the CEO, the Directors of each Department and the Head of the International Tender Unit.
