SFERE is run as a classical company. Its Board meets 4 times a year and its annual accounts are certified by statutory auditors. However, it differs from a private company in the sense that it doesn't distribute dividends, and doesn't pay its administrators.

SFERE is then considered as a non-profit private organization.

Due to its history and the circumstances of its development, SFERE cannot be compared to any other French structure dealing with international cooperation in education: Being not subsidized, it fully self finances its running costs with funds generated by the projects it implements for its foreign partners and clients.

Despite the turbulences of the international environment in which it works, SFERE has constantly been faithful to its initial values and ethics, thus building over the years a solid image of trustworthiness and reliability, for the overseas scholarship programs set up and developed worldwide as well as for the numerous technical assistance contracts awarded mostly through international tenders.

It has developed innovative concepts and approaches which today have become references, both in the academic and financial engineering of international scholarship programs, and in the implementation and management of complex projects... mixing public and private cultures, integrating result oriented logics and respecting the customer-supplier relationship.
